 Limelight Discussion Questions

  1. If you ended up in a position to help a famous, young celebrity, would you? What if he/she were rude to you?  Would you stick around?

  2. Why do you think Allison decides to help Carter? Is she tough enough on him? If not, why do you think that is?

  3. What favorite movie would you choose stage on Broadway? Who would you cast in it?

Broadway Theater: Behind The Scenes of Limelight

How did you picture the studio where Carter rehearsed for Limelight? Because here it is! This is the Ripley-Grier Studio in Manhattan where many Broadway plays rehearse before they move to the actual theater.

Here’s a Broadway theater in Times Square, just like the one where my fictional musical takes place. I love everything about these old theaters! Here’s a shot before the show starts.

I can never throw away a Playbill! It’s the best souvenir to take home after a show.

Yes, I have a huge crush on Kevin Kline. He was the perfect actor to star in my fictional production of Limelight. When he was in Noël Coward’s Present Laughter on Broadway, the New York Times even compared him to Charlie Chaplin! You can read the review here.
